Every time you feel a crack, when you break, you expand. That's the album KRAK: a collection of songs that will unite you even more strongly through music that breaks apart. In this work by Maite Larburu, musicians Carlos Taroncher and Karlos Arancegui are her companions. Ignoring the orthodox ways of playing the bass clarinet and drums, you will transform the bass clarinet into an electronic device, and the drums into a percussion set, empowered by their unique way of playing. Larburu has supported her voice with classical guitar, electric guitar, violin, viola and synths.
Maite's first solo album. Entirely in Basque, this album was created in Hernani, when Larburu was already back in the Basque Country. Itzulera is an intimate and homely album, created, arranged and built by Maite. The lyrics of some of the songs are by Harkaitz Canor. In addition to the bass clarinet of Carlos Taroncher, there are also percussive touches by Aida Torres and Beñat Iturrioz, created by a collection of cans, jars, pots and pans.
This album, which became Neighbor's second album, was created between Hernani and Amsterdam. We could say that it is the album that contains some of Larburu's most unusual songs and melodies, the most exotic. In addition to being the creator of Maite songs and lyrics, he began to experiment with different musical instruments, accompanied by Cheatham's electric touch. The first participation of bass clarinet player Carlos Taroncher also took place on this album.
