Everytime you are torn apart, you open up. This is what KRAK is: a bunch of broken songs that will enter through your cracks and mend you with music. In this album, Larburu is accompanied by Carlos Taroncher and Karlos Arancegui; two musicians that due to their unorthodox way of playing turn the bass clarinet in an electronic device and a drum set into a thousand percussion instruments. Larburu accompanies her voice with guitars, string instruments and synthesizers.
Maite’s first solo album. Written in basque, this album was created in Hernani, after Larburu went back to her home town. It’s an album based on Maite’s return to her homeland, intimate and homely, created, arranged and elaborated by Larburu in its entirety. Some lyrics were written by Harkaitz Cano. Besides Carlos Taroncher’s bass clarinet, Aida Torres and Beñat Iturrioz added some unusual percussion banging on a collection of tins, pans and pots.
HAU was created in between Hernani and Amsterdam. We could say it contains Larburu’s most peculiar melodies, being perhaps her most exotic album. Beside writing melodies and lyrics, Maite started experimenting with different instruments, always accompanied by Josh Cheatham’s electric touch. In this album, Carlos Taroncher and his bass clarinet appear for the first time.
